Ryan Barnes' ink drawing portrait of a character with a birthmark is part of his continued effort to increase representation of people with vascular birthmarks like his own. Growing up, Ryan didn't see many people like him in public or in entertainment. He has an ongoing mission to increase visibility by creating and sharing works that feature people with birthmarks that aren't as easily hidden by clothing.
